SUPER GALORIAN:
First Fruit Crumble on Galora, in San Francisco, and in California
EXPERIENCE:
I am a curious college student with a love for food who is constantly eager to learn and create new recipes.
MY SHARE OFFER:
Baked Fruit Crumble! I am a huge fan of oatmeal! However, eating the same stovetop recipe can be boring. So, this is a newer, more fun and dessert-like way of eating oats.
METHOD:
vegan, gluten-free, soy-free.
INGREDIENTS:
This fruit crumble is made up of wholesome items such as fresh fruits and rolled oats. The rest of the ingredients are: coconut oil, brown sugar (or your choice of sweetner), nuts (optional)
HOW TO BAKE:
1) Preheat the oven to 180 C (350 F).
2) In a bowl, combine the oats, melted coconut oil, nuts, and your choice of sweetner. Mix to combine, then spoon over the cut fruit. You can also add almond flower and a pintch of baking soda to the oats mixture for the crumble to be more decadent.
3) Bake for 15-20 minutes until the oatmeal is golden brown, and the fruit looks tender (berriers usually start to bubble up).
4) At around 10 minutes, I carefully sprinkle a handful of the remaining chopped nuts on top for a toasted flavor.
5) Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes before serving. (Personally, I like it when it is still super warm and I serve it with some vanilla ice-cream!)
