SOULBOP’s Tips for Growing Cannabis in a Small Space

“Whether you are a smoker, a joker, or a midnight toker, growing a plant from seed or a clone is much easier than you might think. Growing from a seed here is an outdoor experience, usually from April to December. Growing from a clone can be either indoor and later moved to outdoor or indoor with stronger light. There are two stages to the growth of a marijuana plant, vegetative and flowering. In this post I will only be discussing the vegetative state.

Here is how simple it is growing in a spare room, closet, or bathroom. If you are growing in one of those spaces, the first thing you need to do is set off a fogger for any bugs, flies, mites, any exoskeletal critters & dander that are floating around the space. That takes 4 hours.

You will also need a fluorescent light or a T-5 light that stays on 24/7, 1 foot above the clone or clone tray. This allows the clone or seed to grow uninterrupted. You will also need a small fan for air-flow 24/7. Weed Temp can range between 65-80 degrees; 72-78 degrees is optimum for a beginning seedling or baby teen plant. Weed plants love cool temp, but seedlings & babies love an incubator temp between 72-78 degrees.

You do not have to water the clone much, keeping the cube moist with filtered water that has been pH down to 5.5-6.0. You can buy a small bottle of pH down at Home Depot, Lowes, or a Hydroponic Store. You are going to be using it for feeding & for spraying.

There are plenty of nutrients in tap water once the seedling pops out of the growing cube to feed & sustain growth. You should water the clone cube once every couple of days. The clone will grow very quickly if the conditions are right in the room. You need to get a pH tester kit or pH strips to pH DOWN the water. It costs less than $7. You will also need a couple of spray bottles to gently spray the clone/s every few days with a product called Instagreen. Another spray bottle can be used for Plant Therapy, an organic product that is used as a preventative measure for flies, bugs, etc. This product you buy at the hydro store. You mix the spray bottle with a couple of tablespoons of Instagreen with filtered water, pH the water down to 5.5-6.0, shake it up, and spray clones. You do the same with Plant Therapy in the other spray bottle. Every time you spray with anything, you always pH water down.

Equipment to buy:

1: pH DOWN

2: pH test kit/pH strips

3: Fluorescent lights or a T-5 LIGHT

4: A small fan

5: Instagreen

6: Plant Therapy

7: 1 extension cord

8: 1 three prong SHORT POWER STRIP (99 cent store) for the lights, the fan, the radio (Oh yes, plants do respond to music, vibrations, sound waves!)
